Registration:
Registered with the Registrar of Societies vide Registration No 613-S 0f 1981 Dated 12/05/1981 & Re-Registered according to new laws vide Reg. No. 7520 S-of 2023 Dated 05/01/2023.
Tax Exemption:
Donors of the Sabha are entitled to Income Tax exemption vide No. CIT/J&K/2009-10/5139 Dated 29/09/2009 under Section 80G of Income Tax Act.
Activities
Financial assistance to the widows, destitutes and financially weak persons
Financial assistance to old age persons who are unable to do any work and have no other source of income;
Financial assistance to the kids of widows/poor parents in the shape of monthly scholarships and fees for professional/academic courses;
Financial assistance for the marriage of daughters of widows/poor/needy persons;
Financial assistance to patients with chronic life consuming diseases;
Financial assistance during the period of natural calamity/disaster etc.
Present status of beneficiaries
The Kashmir Sikh Sahayak Sabha (Regd) is providing help to 170-beneficiaries such as widows, orphans and poor students as monthly aid of Rs. 2,000/-, Rs.1,000/- Rs.800/- & Rs. 700/- as on date through “On-Line” transfer to their individual accounts;
Source of Income:
- For running the affairs of the Sabha, the money is collected from the permanent members of the Sabha on monthly basis through On-Line transfer to the official Accounts of the Sabha or through cash deposited in the office of the Sabha against proper receipt;
- The money is also collected through Appeals from sangat on the eve of family religious functions etc
Functionaries of the Sabha:
The affairs of the Sabha are run by working committee comprising of President, Vice-President, Gen. Secretary, Jt. Secretary, Cashier and 02-Members alongwith an executive body comprising of 15-members nominated by the President. The President is elected after every 04-years who then constitutes the working body of the Sabha and all the office bearers are working as social workers without any honorarium.
Details of financial help made by the Sabha
- Monthly aid to the beneficiaries such as Widows, Poor needy and destitutes @ Rs. 2000/- per month;
- Monthly Scholarship is provided to poor students of widows/poor families studying in Higher Classes from 9th onwards @ Rs. 1000/- per month;
- Monthly Scholarship is provided to poor students of widows/poor families studying in Middle Classes viz 6th to 8th @ Rs.800/- per month;
- Monthly Scholarship is provided to poor students of widows/poor families studying in Primary Classes @ Rs.700/- per month;
- Medical aid is provided to needy patients suffering from life consuming diseases @ Rs.30,000/- yearly;
- Education aid is provided to the poor/orphan students perusing professional/academic degrees in various Institutions @ Rs.30,000/- yearly;
- Marriage aid is provided to the daughters of widows/poor families @ Rs.20,000/-
- Financial help provided to Khalsa Education Society, Srinagar for meeting the fees of poor students @ Rs. 40,000/- Annually;
- Financial help provided to Guru Nanak Public School Nanak Bhawan Baramulla for meeting the expenses on account of fees of poor students studying in the Institution @ Rs.30,000/- Annually;
- Financial help provided to Guru Nanak Boarding School, Tral for meeting the fees of poor students @ Rs. 30,000/- Annually;
